No less than a thousand years eiders and people have been connected. Their feathers are well known all over the world but few people know what the bird actually looks like. The bird itself is the embodiment of the arctic: white snow laying in tundra (upper part of the body), blackness of cliffs (belly, wings and tail), green ice (accent on the neck) and peachy reflection of setting sun (pinkish tinge). Even though the male is incredibly beautiful, I would like to draw your attention to the female instead .
