Her drawings explore&nbsp; natural landscapes and the creatures that inhabit them, from large animals like moose to smaller ones such as bog plants.&nbsp; Kristina's love for birds and bogs has led her to volunteer at nature reserves across Europe, participate in bird banding, and engage in nature conservation. These experiences, combined with her background in graphic design, have had a significant influence on her work.&nbsp;Kristina brings the fine details of botanical illustrations to life,&nbsp; capturing the mystery of foggy Estonian bog landscapes. Her drawings are&nbsp; informed by her own research, learning, and ongoing experiences with nature.&nbsp; The drawing process involves a thorough study of her subjects. Having been disconnected from nature during her childhood, she now approaches it with a childlike excitement, yet with the refined technique of an experienced artist. I literally could not stop till I finished it. Because they are so cute!Have you seen their elaborate bag nest? We call it “woolen mitten” in Russian and I think this is the sweetest name for that.They use plant fibre to make their nests, lined with soft animal fur, plant down, and spiderweb to ensure the comfort and isolation. The nests are carefully woven around the branches and usually hung right over the water.So the first prize goes to the Penduline tits and their fabulous nests!
